Hello,
For information i drop a colossal today in dahjka inlet max degat 15-22 and req10. I'm not id because i sell it not id. After a lot and lot of try a dahjka inlet and barberous i was a luck. then try and try again and the luck come.

as mentioned by previous posts, they do drop drom dahjka intel, i tried to solo it, but died on first try, 2nd try i killed the first 2 enemies and got a non max dmg gold hammer, on third try got a 14-20 colossal scimitar req9 and sold it for a deacent ammount. then me and guildie ran about 20 chests in barbarous shore and they all dropped corsair items (chests near corsairs)
it took us about the same time to fight as to run so we fought with henchies instead also got a green on the way, but didnt get the sword.
now im working on a 2 man build to farm dahjka intel because as a solo i can either survive and not do enuf dmg or do neither of those.
ill have time and a guildie available for help this weekend to try and clear atleast the first portal of the challange mission as it takes quite some time.
as a solo i can survive all the degen (burning bleeding and i think poison) and tank all the dmg (55 monk doesnt work as guildie attempted with a monk and all monks regen skills as he still died and was very low on energy even with blessed sig) in hopes of gettin a scimitar, imma still try to get this build completed and hopefuly will be able to post it after a good ammount of successful runs

(will also be my first farming build)

Omg thanks for the info can you say what kinda of corsair droped the colossal?
I've been able to solo all the groups w/o monks so just killing the first few groups nets you a colossal then thats just awesome

Where the hell do people turn to sell all the shit they find? If i found anything that was 14-20 i'd merch the piece of crap. Let alone if it was purple. Merched 2 Diamond Aegis' a few weeks ago, got an Ancient Shield in storage that i'll prob merch for taking up space sooner or later too (ok its not quite the same as a perfect CS...).

Is it even worth it trying to solo Inlet? You would definatly need a 2-3 man build to even approach a worthwhile speed since you only have 10 minutes to farm each trip, once you've got a build to cope with the insane amount of degen and other conditions you'd have to do damage.... and since you don't have all to do it in...

Buddy, don't be so negative.
It's pretty much possible to duo Dahjak Inlet and at a reasonable speed too (in a good run you can take out the initial area and the fortress afterwards - roughly 50-60 corsairs). For quite obvious reasons I won't tell the whole build yet but Life Siphon pretty much nullifies all the degen they can throw at you. This also tells you lots about the elite on the tank. And about the sidekick, well more power to the neglected and shunned.

I believe it was the Weapon Master who dropped it

a 2-3 man would definately be doable but id like to make it 2 man for a better chance of getting the item, and im pretty sure i could do it 2 man because as a solo I CAN take all the degen they throw at me due to me being able to produce about +16 regen or so... didnt really count but with all the degen they give me i still have +8 regen...

as a solo i was able to tank an aggro of prolly 3-4 groups but i had a lucky spawn and there was only 1 healer and i managed to take him out solo but then ran out of time/energy since as a solo after i atttack i need few mins to get energy up for next attack. and as for speed, im just planning on clearing 1-2 areas.
as for the elite skill on the tank that kas has implied to, my elite is a very strong offensive skill and also, good idea for life siphon, havent thought of that.
i guess thats all i can say for now... cuz the only time im able to practice it is during weekends.

oh evilsod, i merch all the crap 2 even max weaps if i kno they not gonna get me some deacent ammount of $... but for this 14-20 i got 100+33 and i wasnt trying to get extremely large ammount for it, just something deacent.

ive tried 55 dajkeh
i can kill the first 3 corsairs but the later big group just degen me to death
I also tried using ele with mystic regen (total 5 enchantments) but still i got like -4 or 5 health degen, so i think dajkeh is not for me
and for the moddok mission, are the very first 5 corsair cutthroats that will drop the sword? as they are the only lvl 20 corsairs no matter what your choice is

We had a guild group try 3, 4, and 5 man and we got to the 2nd map but just could not be fast enough to beat the timer.

I honestly think the best way to do the challenge mish is just to form a normal 8 man group and blast through it.

The AI on the doctors is just absurd. They just run around mindlessly in circles...quite annoying.

actually I can clear over half the npcs on the first map solo, its all about waiting for the right time to run in kill/gank then get out. But the one guy said he got a colossal on the first map which is great news. I'm sure you'll have to do a ton of runs though.

But the AI on the doctors is crazy, I even bought with a cripple and still X_X runs fast you eventually get hit with a corsair net and its gg.

I havent tried to farm this for like a month though so i'll have to try it again after hearing that its confirmed they drop on the first map

maybe i'll get lucky >_<

Are colossal scimitars only worth anything if they are gold, or are they so rare that even white, blue or non-max are worth some money?

I've seen a gold colossal scimitar drop from the YAA boss in the quest Land of Heroes on the island. No idea what req or if it was max because I was pugging it with one other person and they wouldn't answer me

The healing specced corsair doctor has one major flaw though, he uses healing touch. So if you're fed up by him playing the chicken game, start damaging one of his buddies bad enough he'll move into close range all on his own. The secret is to than keep him busy. You simultanously need to damage other guys to lock the corsair doctor at his place.
The protection specced corsair is even less of a problem, you can get him to waste all his energy on guardian and reversal of fortune by simply hitting an enemy with your caster weapon.

Try farming Corsairs in Hard Mode...I would think that would net you some Colossal Scimitars. Though how to farm them...don't ask me.

Yes, Hard mode is out and wow omg.... Have any of you seen how many colossals are up for sale now?

Farming corsairs in the start of moddok is a good idea now... all lvl 20 easily soloed by a w/rt I 've tried a few runs with a full 8 party team and flagged them away so there names are in grey, gold or purple drop every run, sup vigor and bloodstained insignia but no colossal yet

But just wait the prices should start falling big time!!!!

Just an idea about this...since there are so many conditions and such, why not run a melandrus resilience type of solo build to cope with it, since ull basically regen urself back right?
